Commemmorating 15 Years of Community Service

Because we are in an unprecedented and uncertain time with the pandemic, we have sadly decided not to hold our annual Wonderful Witchy Women luncheon and silent auction. Our primary concern for everyone – sponsors, donors, members, and charities – is to stay safe and healthy.

Since 2005, together, we have raised well over $3.5 million dollars for local Bay Area non-profits. We have given to several wonderful organizations supporting women and children in need.

In our 15^th year of fundraising, we want to do what we can to support the CityTeam Heritage Home. They have profoundly changed the lives of women and their babies by getting them off the street, away from drugs and alcohol, providing educational opportunities to finish high school and enter college, and to live their best lives for and with their children. This was the very first charity the Bella Vista League sponsored in 2005 and it seemed fitting that they would be the beneficiary of our fundraising efforts for this special 15^th year.

We ask that you help us help them this special year of Wonderful Witchy Women with a Cause.  Anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated. Looking For A Wonderful Witchy Hat?

Wondering where to obtain your own witchy hat for the Wonderful Witchy Women luncheon fundraiser? Two local shops come to mind – Black Cat Hats and Out of the Envelope – both conveniently located in downtown Los Gatos. Don’t wait too long, though, both shops tend to run low on selections as the date for the Wonderful Witchy Women fundraiser approaches. Funny about that.  😉

Another option is to make your own! Several attendees profess to visiting their local crafts store and designing their own from scratch. I think this is why there is such an incredible variety of designs at the event. In fact, some of the most creative witchy hats in the past have started with a simple idea manifesting into an awesome creation worthy of unending Kodak moments.

Whether you decide to make your own OR drop in on a local shop, make sure you get your tickets and join us! We’d love to see your wonderful witchy hat!

The Wonderful Witchy Women Fundraiser – A KMOVE Radio Interview with Cheryl Bailey, Founder

The word is getting out! The annual Wonderful Witchy Women luncheon and silent auction is happening soon on Friday, October 25th, at the Fairmont Hotel San Jose. “I’ve been to this event for the past 5 or 6 years in a row and it’s a wonderful, wonderful organization and you should feel good about giving,” said Lorraine Carrisosa. Clay Goodman adds, “It’s a great way to have a blast and feel good about yourself at the same time.”

Tickets Go On Sale on 9/23 – Annual Wonderful Witchy Women Fundraiser

 

Dust off your wonderful witchy hats because it’s that time of the year again and tickets are going on sale on Monday, September 23rd! You are invited to join our cause to support this year’s local Bay Area non-profits that are working throughout the year to help women and children in need.

Don’t miss the spectacularly designed hats parading throughout the halls of the Fairmont Hotel on Friday, October 25th, or the amazing items in the silent auction (stay tuned to this blog for more details on those!) or the delicious cuisine prepared for attendees or or or…well, you get the idea. There’s lots to experience at this annual event and we look forward to seeing you there. Tickets are $160 each.
