2019 Wonderful Witchy Women Prep Underway

It’s us again! It’s our 14th time around and we’re gearing up for another spectacular event in October again this year to benefit local charities serving children and families in need. The Bella Vista League spent the last months nominating, culling, voting for, and finally selecting this year’s fortunate non-profit organizations. So, without further ado, we are pleased to announce that our 2019 fundraising efforts will benefit:

2018 Centerpieces – Front and Center

IMG_9252 copyOur design and decor team leader has once again WOW’ed us with her concept of this year’s Witchy Women centerpiece. Stephanie J incorporated another collectible witch from the Witches of Pendleton series, imported from the United Kingdom. Her name is Elizabeth Device. Isn’t she adorable?

Elizabeth is completely handmade and wears a black gown embellished with a lace overlay and shawl. Her witchy hat is made of black velvet with a lace overlay as well. A smiling face and hands are of hand painted porcelain. She holds one end of her black witchy broom which juts out behind her, though it’s difficult to see at this angle.

Elizabeth contentedly rests on top of metallic gold painted grape roots wrapped with warm, soft lights. Her faceted crystal ball sits on a crystal base awaiting her next conjuring.

You may purchase one of these beautiful centerpieces at the Wonderful Witchy Women With A Cause luncheon and fundraiser for $95. There will be a table just outside of the main ballroom. Make your purchase as soon as you can as only 65 were created. Like last year, we expect these to sell out quickly!

After All Is Said and Done…

The 2017 Wonderful Witchy Women With A Cause luncheon and silent auction fundraiser is now in the history books. On Friday, October 27th, we welcomed a crowd of about 500 guests. The room sparkled with the many glitzy, crazy, intricate, creative, original, colorful, and downright fabulous witch hats.

Lights flashed as guests took a moment at the step & repeat banner to show off this year’s wonderful witchy hat. Attendees learned more about the charities at their respective tables. Champagne flowed while guests sipped a glass of bubbly as they considered a mystery box or two from Kendra Scott, bought a few boxes of chocolates from the Candy Men, and bid on the many silent auction offerings. After a delicious lunch, personal stories of need and success captured everyone’s attention during the program. Donations to help our non-profits (Operation Freedom Paws, CityTeam Heritage Home, Family Supportive Housing) were generously given. And the lucky winner of the diamond earrings from Joe Escobar was announced.

And now, after all has been said and done, there’s not much more to do except to say, from the tippy tops of our wonderful witchy hats to the bottoms of our collective hearts,Thank You

Thank you to the non-profits who continue to support our neighbors in need. Thank you to our sponsors and donors who gave so generously to support the non-profits. Thank you to all of our guests for being a part of this yearly event. And thank you to the wonderful witchy women of the Bella Vista League who once again, pulled off another spectacular event. Until next year…
